Meeting of Competitiveness Council (COMPET)
The Competitiveness Council (COMPET) aims to enhance competitiveness and growth in Europe through a focus on the internal market, industry, research, innovation and space. Depending on the items on the agenda, this Council can be composed of Industry Ministers or Research Ministers. It meets about five or six times a year and is chaired by the rotating Presidency (i.e. Ireland for the first half of 2013).
