Taoiseach speaking at major Conferences in Brussels

Engagements to focus on Presidency priorities and include an address to the Lisbon Council annual summit

The Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD will be in Brussels today, Thursday 7th March to deliver the 2013 Robert Schumann lecture, entitled “The Irish EU Agenda: Towards Stability, Jobs and Growth " to the prestigious Lisbon Council annual Europe 2020 Summit. Watch the Taoiseach's speech live.

The Taoiseach will also address the closing session of the European Parliament conference on 'EU Science: Global Challenges, Global Collaboration' at 2.30pm. This five-day event, organised in association with the Irish Presidency, positions EU research at the centre of the international response to global challenges, bringing together science policymakers, scientists and industry representatives from 100 different countries.
